Help us save the Ballina 200

Dear Lorraine,
So many IFAW supporters have already spoken out to help save the last 200 Ballina koalas from extinction. We're so appreciative of this support.

The planned highway that would pass through this sensitive habitat in the town of Ballina would threaten these koalas and more than 30 endangered species.

Act now to help us save koalas

Environment Minister Greg Hunt has already stalled Stage 10, insisting on further studies and a Ballina Koala Plan before making his decision.

That decision is expected any day, and we're concerned that it may be pushed through by a delegate in the coming weeks while the current Government is in 'election caretaker mode'.

This vital decision deserves to be made by the Environment Minister of the next Parliament - NOT a delegate.

We need you to send an urgent message to the next potential Environment Ministers to ask them to make the right call for Ballina's koalas.

Act now

Thank you so much for your support.

Best wishes,

P.S. Time is running out for Ballina's koalas. Let's not lose these koalas forever!

Last chance to save the Ballina 200
Ballina koala
The critical colony of around 200 koalas near Ballina, New South Wales is at risk of extinction if Stage 10 of the Pacific Highway upgrade goes ahead as planned.
This important decision should only be made by the incoming Environment Minister - NOT a delegate during election caretaker mode.
